Kopytka – potato dumplings

Kopytka that translates as “little hooves” are polish dumplings made from potatoes and very often “twaróg” – polish soft cheese. They are sometimes described as Polish gnocchi because they are similar to the Italian version. They are one of the tastes of my childhood. My grandma used to serve them with breadcrumbs and butter.
