Broadway Market E8 4PQ

It’s such a shame that I found out about this amazing place after over 5 years in London. In the end, I’m happy that I did, because it’s my favourite street food market at the moment.

Broadway Market is a street that runs from London Fields to the Regent’s Canal which hosts the outdoor market every Saturday from 9am until 5pm. It’s always busy on this special day with plenty of food stalls located on the main street and round the corner in the Schoolyard Market and Neil Market.

My top 3 food stalls

Dumpling Shack

The absolute winner. These handmade soup dumplings are to die for. They are made right in front of your eyes and fried up to order. The only downside is the waiting time – you have to prepare for a 20-25 minute wait.

This market stall cafe is a great place, especially during warm days. I love sitting on the green deckchairs, watching people passing by while drinking delicious Vietnamese style coffee – strong espresso topped with condensed milk, served hot or cold.

Butchies

Crispy and moist deep friend chicken battered to perfection and served in a brioche roll. Definitely not a very healthy option but it tastes great! They are normally quite busy but the waiting time is up to 10 minutes which is not too long.

Of course, Broadway Market is not only about the food. You will find there is plenty of vintage clothes, handmade jewellery and fresh flowers. Its a great place to visit on Saturday.
